Greetings traveller, and welcome to the eerie world of mobile horror gaming! Ever wanted to be terrified while waiting for your coffee? Or give yourself a fright on the subway? Dive into our list of the top 10 horror games perfect for your pocket-sized portal to the netherworld.

And no, we’re not talking about the horror of pay to win cash grabs. They’re scary enough.

This will be just a short whistle-stop through a selection of different titles, but if you want a deeper dive into ooky and spooky games, check out our channel for plenty to keep you p**ing your pants.

Dead by Daylight Mobile:
Swipe left for d***h? The popular multiplayer survival horror experience has been scaring console and PC players for years, and is a personal favourite of UDS’s own - Matthew Dobbie. Now it’s available on mobile, you can get your creep on, on the go. Choose between being a survivor or the bloodthirsty k****r, and try not to p** your pants in public.

The Room Series:
Don't let its name fool you, The Room has nothing to do with Tommy Wiseau (I was a little disappointed too). Instead, dive deep into a world of intricate puzzles and a chilling narrative. With its creepy ambiance and mysterious artefacts, The Room offers cerebral horror that'll make you think under pressure, building an uneasy atmosphere of dread that’ll have you hooked.

Identity V:
When Dead by Daylight meets gothic Tim Burton visuals, you get Identity V. With its asymmetrical 4 vs 1 gameplay, work together to outwit the hunter, or BE the hunter and hunt your friends down. Creepy dolls and foggy mansions included.

Dark Echo:
I reckon a good 75% of effective horror is sound over sight, and Dark Echo distils this into one effective experience. A unique horror where you "see" through sound, each footstep reveals a snippet of the world, but also attracts things that go bump in the night. This is a game that you simply need to play with headphones.

Fran Bow:
Dive into the mind of Fran, a young girl battling mental illness and dark forces in this psychological horror point-and-click adventure. Twisted and beautiful in equal measure, it's like a nightmarish fairy tale come to life.

Eyes - The Horror Game:
Imagine being trapped in a mansion with an otherworldly entity. Your only mission? Collect the money and escape without getting caught. Easier said than done, especially when your pursuer has more eyes than any being should.

Layers of Fear: Solitude:
Explore the mind of a painter gone mad. Roam an ever-changing Victorian mansion where each room reveals more of the artist’s psychological descent. With haunting visuals and a gripping narrative, this mobile adaptation truly captures the essence of the console experience.

Granny:
Who knew grandma's house could be this terrifying? You've got five days to escape Granny's house before she gets you. Move silently, hide wisely, and whatever you do, don't drop anything! Granny hears everything, and she's faster than she looks.

Bendy and the Ink Machine:
Who says cartoons can’t be flipping terrifying? Take the plunge into the dilapidated animation studio where ink comes to life, and not in a fun-loving Mickey Mouse way. More like nightmarish doodles chasing you down.

Detention:
Set in 1960s Taiwan under martial law, this atmospheric horror touches on real-life horrors as well as supernatural ones. Beautifully hand-drawn, it’s as mesmerising as it is scary.

So that’s just a small selection of spooky games to play on the go. Did we cover your favourite or did we miss it off...
