Number 10 Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin

The original Psyconuaghts game is a cult classic, and now we’re getting not one, but two sequels! If the studio can bring the insane brilliance of the original game into a vr setting, they’ll be on to a winner.

Number 9: Star Wars Battlefront Xwing

Xwing experience is a demo being brought to Star wars battlefront that lets you pilot an xwing fighter in the depths of Space.

Whilst technically not a full game, Who wouldn’t want to live their childhood fantasy of experiencing the opening of Star Wars in VR?

Number 8: Rigs

Rigs is a game that sees you pilot giant mechanised robots against each other in a ‘mechanised combat league. In a world of VR games that are dark, moody, and slow, we need more games like Rigs – fast paced, energetic, and unapologetically insanely good fun.

Number 7: Robinson The journey

In Robinson the journey you play the part of a 13 year old that crash lands on a mysterious planet and has to figure out a way to survive. This game stands out because it has MOTHER FUCKING DINOSAURS in it as well as beautiful graphics.

Number 6: Until Dawn – rush of blood

Until dawn is a great example of an interactive story game done right, featuring multiple endings and a creepy plot. This standalone spin off sees you explore a creepy rollercoaster in an abandoned theme park in what will do doubt go down as the creepiest horror game setting yet. Just terrifying!

Number 5: Eagle flight

Eagle flight sees you soar through the abandoned streets of paris as the aforementioned bird performing aerial aerobatics and defending your territory.

This game looks absolutely stunning, not to mention absurdly good fun. Whilst sych a simple concept, its the thing VR was made for.

Number 4: The Heist

We tried the heist at an event in London a few months ago, and if the full game is anything like the demo was, this game will be truly awesome.Taking on the role of a bank robber in a number of high tension action scenarios, what makes this game stand out is the level of interactivity, which keeps you really immersed in the action.

Number 3: Resident Evil Vii

This game looks like a return to classic form for the series, featuring puzzle solving and resource management elements.

Playable in a first person perspective, this feels more like the now cancelled ‘Silent hills’, and with ‘Alison Road’ also now cancelled, we’re glad that one studio is sticking it out and making the horror game we need.

Number 2: Farpoint

As seen in our ‘E3’ videos, Farpoint was the surprise hit of the convention, at long last making a plastic Peripheral seem useful and fun! Set on an alien planet, this game takes immersion to a whole new level.

First person VR games where the player has total control of their movement seem to be in short supply at the moment, so here’s hoping this game will lead the pack in re-inventing the genre.

Number 1: Arkham VR

This might not be everyone’s choice for #1, but it’s certainly going to be mine! The Arkham games were renound for successfully bringing Batman to a console game, and making it a whole lot of fun. Not much is known about Arkham, VR yet, but from what we got to experience at E3, you get to suit up as the man himself, and can throw batarangs at enemies, which is the most incredible feeling ever.
