Song Comments:
This is a very rare breed on this list - a tune from an American game, as opposed to a Japanese one. I think it shows that the style is very different from everything heard so far. As for the tune itself, it's my favorite instrumental from MSR, with tunes like Don't Wait Till Tomorrow Comes not being eligible for this list. I usually don't listen to trance at all, but this is rather nice, especially when it's on the radio while you're driving through nighttime Tokyo.
Game Comments:
Back in the day, this game was the shit. The graphics were unlike anything seen before and even the driving physics were stellar for the time. Today, it's mediocre at best because the Kudos system can be very easily cheated, but you have to get at least some style Kudos or else the game is impossible. It's also one of the glitchiest console games I have ever played - most of the rules, like time restrictions, aren't actually enforced by the game. Back then, I didn't mind, but today, the gameplay is much more refined in Project Gotham Racing 2 & 3 (I'm omitting the 4th one on purpose), the physics are much better in Forza 3, and the graphics pale in comparison to pretty much everything that isn't on Wii.
