Top 5 Most Useful Changes & Items:
Loadouts (3, via icons or hotkeys - on PC, F1 to F3 by default)
Void Bag (can now be open or closed, with new capabilities)
- when closed, it will not pick up items or use them automatically, similar to a piggy bank etc.
- when open, it picks up items & can use them as if it is additional regular inventory
- can use items directly for crafting, quick heal/mana/buff, items with a function function, etc.
- can also favourite items & stack to nearby chests, Loot All will overflow into the bag
- this also means you can, for instance, keep some potions in regular inventory & extras in bag
Biome Sight Potion - crafted from BW + Fireblossom + Blinkroot + Moonglow + 5 Grass Seeds
Shellphone - crafted from a Cell Phone + Magic Conch + Demon Conch
- allows you to teleport to your Initial Spawn, Home Bed, Ocean or the Underworld!
Hand of Creation - craft from Architect Gizmo Pack + Ancient Chisel + Treasure Magnet + Step Stool
- increases mining speed, paints, increases pickup range, and increases building reach & speed
- the Architect Gizmo Pack is crafted from several items obtained from the Traveling Merchant
Other Useful Changes:

Most items stack to 9,999
The Magic Mirror is now craftable from 10 Glass, 3 Diamonds, and 8 Gold or Platinum Bars
Smashing altars no longer generates random blocks of infection in the world
Evil biomes infect Jungle grass rather than transforming Jungle mud
Rifle Scope increases the range of the Clentaminator, which now comes in improved Terraformer!
Echo Coating to turn blocks and furniture invisible, can be toggled
After defeating all 3 mechanical bosses for the first time in a world, Plantera bulb should spawn
New bread item, wood type, and liquid type
You can now fish as long your arms are above the bobber, which includes fishing in an Inner Tube
Star-shaped bobber for fishing
Equipped bait is shown on cursor when fishing, same for paintbrushes and Clentaminator/Terraformer
The Angler Set, fishing accessories and fishing potion now show their increases to Fishing Power
Menu options to enable autoswing for all weapons, and to disable quick trash
Block swap now also works for torches and campfires, Torch God's Blessing applies to Campfires
The Extractinator can turn fishing trash into low-level bait
Flymeal item to unstick NPCs
Cracked Dungeon Bricks can now be broken by projectiles
Added recipes for all 9 safe versions of Dungeon Walls (may be useful for farming dungeon items?)
Rope can pass behind platforms and minecart tracks, which no longer halt player movement on rope
Heart lanterns and banners can be hung from platforms
The maximum number of active buffs has been DOUBLED, so likely no more need to disable pets
Station buffs last until you die
The War Table grants an additional sentry buff
Sentry duration has been increased from 2 to 10 minutes
The Traveling Merchant now has an extra guaranteed less common item in his inventory in Hardmode
The wait between Old One's Army rounds can be skipped
Defender Medal item purchase prices have been reduced 33-40%
The Encumbering Stone can be toggled to active or inactive
All accessories can once again be assigned to vanity slots
Informational accessory displays have been improved
Significantly increased range for Quick Stack to Nearby Chests, with an added visual effect
