If you were to ask me what my top ten games of all time was, somehwere on that list would be final fantasy 7 and final fantasy 10. now if you asked me what final fantasy games have I play, itd be final fantasy 7 and final fantasy 10. So coming of the heels of two legendary iconic games such as those, I expected a lot from Final Fantasy 15.
Final Fantasy XV is Quest based (whether you love it or hate it.) Side quests are essentially the filler episodes of video games. Which is funny how you are the King of Lucis.
The story could be better in my opinion. I could easily place it subpar to my other final fantasy experiences. And the game isnt very long either, I beat the game in about 30 hours, and thats with doing every side quest I could find, not including the after completion side quest that I believe is a final fantasy tradition.
Lets go through all of the characters of Final Fantasy XV shall we.
Noctis Lucis Caelum: Prince of Lucis, and main protagonist. Loves to fish.
Ignis Scientia: Childhood friend to Noctis. The Strategist of the Group. Loves to Cook.
Gladiolus Amicitia: Oldest Son of a family whose main responsibility is to protect the royal family. Childhood friend of Noctis and older brother to Iris. Has great Survivalist skills.
Prompto Argentum: Childhood friend to Noctis. Love Photography and will take pictures throughout your adventures.
Cor “The immortal” Leonis: A fuckin badass, my only gripe is we don't ever see just how badass his is. We just hear it.
Iris Amicitia: the sister of Glagiolus, is, sorta likable, if you like anime cliches. Shes there for a bit, then shes pushed aside for the rest of the game. Blink and youll miss it.
Aranea Highwind: I fucking love Aranea personally, but once again is under utilized. She fights you once, she helps you fight once, and boom shes done.
Cindy Aurum: Created purely as eye candy and fan service, and I am not complaining.
Cid Sophiar: Grandfather of cindy and a reoccuring final fantasy character. Cid creates weapon upgrades for you and your team.
Gentiana: Does have one bad-ass moment. But most of the time shes spouting out philosophical nonsense I don't care to make sense of.
King Regis lucis Caelum: The father of noctus, and King of Lucis. Needless to say, he should be a pretty fucking important character. But the game doesnt treat him that way.
Ravus Nox Fleuret: Minor antagonist and brother to Lunafreya. Part of the Empire.
Lunafreya Nox Fleuret: Noctis wife to be, also known as the Oracle.
Arndyn Izunia: Main Antagonist to FFXV. Chancellor of the Empire. Responsible for the Death of Lunafreya.
Umbra: The most lovable character. Make sure to give Umbra some paw.
Most of your travels will be the Regalia, a prestigious car give by King Regis of Lucis. Can be transformed into The Regalia Type-F, giving the ability to fly. Chocobos are still a thing, though not very in depth.
Summons: Titan, Rumah, Leviathan, Shiva, Bahamut
Beautiful Graphics, with a few glitches.( maybe 2 in my playthrough) Complete with a few tips and a couple Easter Eggs. Hope you Enjoy!
