Kirby Triple Deluxe

Ok this has to be the best platform I have played in a while… I am a huge fan of the kirby character and its great to see him spring to life in the glorious 3D effect present within the game. The usual core mechanics of the series return and shine with a new 3D twist, which sees enemies emanating from the background and foreground… The only downside to this entry in the series has to be the lack of difficulty in the game… but... ill put that down to the fact, that I’m probably a lot better at Kirby games than your average casual player. All in all this is a great release and would be a great addition to your collection.

Pokemon X and Y

There was no way that a Nintendo 3ds must have list would not include one of the many pokemon games avaliable for the system. Although omega ruby and alpha sapphire are the more recent in the series I believe x & y are the superior of the games, for one main reason... Customisable charachters.. In this release we finally get the ability to add a bit of personality to our trainers, a feature that has long been asked for by the community. Taking the already tried and tested formula that has been carrying the series for over 20 years... X and y add enough to the formula to make it feel fresh and new.

Tomodachi Life

Tomodachi Life is a great game. It may not appeal to every kind of gamer but if it clicks with you, it will be a fun experience. Jack loves this game so much and often tells me how it reminds him of the sims… ALL In all, Tomodachi Life is filled with pure, unbridled joy. It puts a stupid grin on my face and keeps it there through its duration. Some might complain that it is "not a game," but they can go on hating. It does require the player to put in some love, flair, and wit, but what comes out is magic.

Super Street Fighter IV

This game has to be the best fighter on a handheld at least in my opinion. Super Street Fighter 4 has great visuals, a good soundtrack, a very balanced roster, a suprisingly good story mode and a unique 3d mode that sees the camera change perspective whilst fighting giving the illusion that the characters are popping out of the screen. For an old fan, Street Fighter might not possess and stand up to the hype due to lack of change from earlier versions, but if your a new player, and you need something to keep you going on your 3DS, this could provide you with hundreds of hours of entertainment

Super Mario Land 3D

Let's face it, on launch, there weren't a lot of great titles for the 3DS console. But the release of games such as Super Mario 3D Land changes everything! This game is everything you'd expect from a Mario/Nintendo title, and more. It's similar yet different enough to classic 2D Mario type gaming, so there's something for both old and new fans alike. The level designs are inventive and fun, with enough challenge offered to more serious gamers. The original eight worlds are supplemented on completion with another 8 worlds that are more challenging. The 3D effects are effective yet not distracting, and there is an in-game option to trigger between a more extreme or moderate 3D effect. Overall, this is a game with lots of replay value, and definitely one of the must-have titles for the 3DS.
