Top10 best companions video games. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate? Which game has the best?
This is top 10 best companions in video games. Our Icewind Dale II review is still in the making, but while you wait for the next entry in our "Road to Baldur's Gate 3" video series, we decided to get this off our chest and share it with you. It's a list of our ten favorite companions in video games and the reasons why we think they're the best.
The criteria we used follows three simple rules:
1) Only Playable companions are eligible. You have to be able to take them or leave them for missions or level them up or equip them with gear. So Companions like Kim Kitsuragi from Disco Elysium will have to sit this one out.
2)We take into consideration the companion's relevance to the story, its consistency with the lore of the game, whether or not it is romanceable and how solid his or her motivations are for joining your party. It DOES NOT take into account how powerful or useful they are in a fight or in other aspects of the game play.
3) We use a no stacking policy. Only one game per franchise.
Also consider that this list is not meant to be the ultimate companion ranking. It is completely based on a personal opinion.
