You might've noticed this game sitting in my Nintendo Switch menu, yesterday. It's a pretty difficult indie game, as you start with a short-range sword against mostly long-range enemies, and bosses will wreck you. You get better gear in shops, chests, and occasional enemy drops. After a few failed runs, I'm starting to get the hang of things, learning how to handle enemies (and boss patterns) and which gear is good to grab.

I'm making myself a list of the latter. For example, there's a "cursed" umbrella that I actually find beneficial, as it instantly drops bombs onto the battlefield. This has the disadvantage of immediately alerting enemies to your presence, but I think it's worth it for that initial damage. On the flipside, there are a pair of items that grant you extra weapon slots, but I avoid them and stick with the base two slots, as that's easier to manage.

Overall, the game isn't as crazy as certain similar roguelikes, but I'm enjoying msyelf. It's on various platforms if you're interested. And it supports multiplayer, as well.
