Tried this game for a second time after beating Super Smash TV for SNES. Check out my tutorial on that game. This game is the sequel and made by a different developer. It feels much sloppier to me, and as a result I may not attempt to beat it. Part of what I really enjoyed about the first game was how tight the gameplay felt.
