This is me playing as ReimuB (Reimu/Suika combo, which allows instant item collection when not firing or moving). This is one of my first tries on the demo - add that to the fact that I had to play on keyboard instead of my usual controller setup, and my performance here isn't exactly top notch. Still, I managed to clear the demo on Normal with no continues and almost no bombs until the Stage 3 boss. In any case, this isn't supposed to be an exhibition of my skill or anything; I just want to show off the demo, since it came out as of the day I'm uploading this.

My thoughts so far on Subterranean Animism - Wow, this is an impressive demo. It's still definitely Touhou, but there are a lot of new things that I didn't expect here. The "partner" allows for some really interesting choices of extra ability, far more satisfying than the simple firing type choice from previous games, even if there are still only two playable characters, as in Mountain of Faith. The bosses in this demo are amazing, considering they're the bosses of the first 3 stages - definitely requiring a bit more skill to get through than the previous games so far. Some of the spell cards, especially Muzuhashi Parsee's from stage 2, are pretty radically new, and fun to play through as well - I don't think the first three stages in a game have been this enjoyable in a while. Definitely looking forward to the full version.
