Touhou 12: Undefined Fantastic Object - Stage 4 (No Commentary)
The Unfortunate Captain of the Holy Palanquin
~Inside the Palanquin Ship~
Anchors away! Time for stage 4. Like any Touhou game stage 4 marks our traditional difficulty spike and this game does not disappoint. Stage 3 warned you of the possibilities of bullet spam but this sage starts to have it in spades. On one hand you're given plenty of UFOs this stage... on the other hand you're not given a good chance to get them. You want to have max lives or at least have a comfortable amount of resources, from here on out you take your life in your hands if you try and get UFOs.
The mid-boss this... a thing... I suppose... Seriously, it doesn't do much. The rest of the enemies in the stage are more threatening.
And then there's Murasa, who in entirely a walking testament to making me wish I had a character with better range. By themselves her attacks aren't too bad but the biggest issue is that they tend to pin you down into one spot when she moves off to the side. For a power character that should end boss fights quickly it makes them tend to drag on a lot more instead.
