This shot is basically just YoumuWolf with less range and more damage. Once you develop and learn alternate strategies for certain sections and attacks, the shot is basically equal to YoumuWolf, with slight advantages and disadvantages in a few sections of the game.
However, YoumuOtter is more punishing. Mistiming a slash, misrouted tokens, etc, may force YoumuOtter to the bottom of the screen. YoumuWolf can deal very good damage from the bottom, while YoumuOtter cannot. Being forced to the bottom on certain sections means it will become harder to push back up and kill enemies, meaning more bullets, meaning more bottomhugging, meaning more enemies, etc, resulting in a vicious feedback loop.
Overall this took around 16 hours. As usual for these kinds of challenges, most of the time was spent in practice, either to derust after my break or to develop and learn strategies for sections that can't copy YoumuWolf's strategies.
