Touhou 17: Wily Beast and Weakest Creature - Normal & Extra No Bomb (YoumuWolf)
8Good lord, this game is a lot of fun, quite honestly. Also pretty fun EX stage, I don't remember the last time I had so much fun fighting an EX boss. I guess Saki's cool design helps too, haha.
Although this game definitely has quite the number of flaws. So funny story, this was the third character I beat Extra with (and fun fact, the NB was unintentional here too). The other two replays got desynced because of a bug that happens if you end your main game run on a hyper, or if you reset at any time from a hyper, all the way until the Extra Beasts Appeared text. So if you ever have to reset, do so twice, just to be on the safe side. When you clear the main game, don't go to pick up any tokens, hell, even Roar Break at the end of Idola Diabolus (more like idola diabeetus because wtf is this spell) if need be. And just stay at the bottom, motionless, in a way that you don't collect any tokens.
Another qualm I have with this game is the tokens themselves. They have random movement, from where they start off to, to where they go after bouncing, it's annoying. Plus the game gives you so many of them (THANKS, LAST TWO SPELLS), and they take forever to go away. I can only imagine the pain and suffering for LNNNN.
Oh and Esc+R is broken, thanks ZUN.
Oh and Saki's survival is broken just like Okina's, except with a bomb instead of release, thanks ZUN x2.
Speaking of which, if you do bomb against it, you might as well shoot her down if you want to preserve another resource. Because she also gains a hitbox, the last wave will just squish you between Saki and the spirits.
Despite all this, this game is still probably one of my favorite maingames.
