Hi everyone! Today, with a kind of twist comprared to previous content (and like I mentioned once in the channel announcement video!), I present to you my attempt at Touhou 6 (Embodiment of Scarlet Devil)'s boss on the Extra stage!

In case you don't know about the series, Touhou is a series of bullet hell (or danmaku) games, which play like shooting games, but in these type of games, enemy bullets and attacks are much more numerous. To compensate, your character's hitbox is also very small comprared to the actual sprite, about a few pixels on the character's "middle". You can also use a bomb (Master Spark in my case) to clear the bullets and do high damage to all enemies (expect Flandre during her spellcards). Also, bosses will often attack with spellcards, deadly yet cool patterns which you must also avoid!

After numerous failed attempts, I somehow managed to clear the game... on normal difficulty, using away all of my bombs, no lives remaining and just a few pixels away from death or so at the last stage. Anyway, I unlocked the extra stage, and after, once again, numerous attempts at it, I decided to upload my most recent one.

I did not include the lead-up to Flandre herself, as damn, the extra stage mobs (and Patchouli, a magician and the mid-stage boss!) are actually harder than some of Flandre's spellcards, Kagome, Kagome for example, is way easier than it looks (and way easier than Patchouli's Solar Flare!)

For veterans, you noticed I made some stupid mistakes, like not being able to avoid Maze of Love correctly. That was kind of a letdown. I also messed up at Starbow Break, but overall I consider this run of mine pretty decent, I never actually made it this far ^^ (damn Lavatein spellcard...)

I apologize for the low resolution of this vid, Touhou 6 is a very old game by now, and it could only be played at 640x480 on fullscreen. Hopefully this won't detract much from the experience. Also for some reason the recorder's status is still seen at the top left corner of the screen for some reason.... it's not in the way though!
