Didn't think I'd get it so quickly!

Touhou 9 is an... odd game. It has the same mechanic as PoDD (touhou 3) where you're put up against the CPU in a battle of endurance. You both have to dodge bullets until one of you gets hit too many times and drop dead. Your health is represented by the ying yang orbs at the top of your screen (the left screen by default) and you'll take more damage depending on how long you've lasted without taking a single hit. If you out last the CPU, you win and get to move on to the next stage. There are 9 stages in total, each getting more insane than the last.

You have to really utilize your spell casting in this game in order to erase bullets because dodging just becomes unmanageable at times.

The first 5 stages are relatively easy, with stage 6 becoming moderately difficult out of nowhere.

Stage 7, which is Aya, is a huge pain to deal with. Her attacks come at you pretty fast and you really have to make sure you don't move around too much, or else her aimed stuff will get you.

Stage 8, which is Komachi, is also difficult. Her EX attacks can flood the screen with bullets easily, and she just doesn't want to die. Make sure you have extra lives when you come into this fight.

Stage 9, which is Shiki, is a meme. Bring 3 extra lives to this fight or else you're not winning.
