Phantasmagoria of Flower View is an interesting Touhou game to say the least. It's one of the only 2 touhou games to be a 1v1 bullet hell game. It's pretty fun if you can look past all the bs that happens in it. Your bombs are linked to this meter at the bottom of the screen that fills up as you kill enemies. You may also notice that the game has a lot of pauses whenever a boss attack is triggered (where one character goes to the other side of the screen to attack directly). I honestly don't know the mechanics of this game other than the bare basics.

Lines of fairies come in from various spots around the screen and killing them causes a splash damage explosion that kills the line (usually). There are also these little flapping things that spawn in randomly that have way more health than they should. When you focus (hold down shift to move slower and see your hitbox) your character uses a "scope" that turns these flapping things into wisp fire orb things that die real easily. Both the explosion from fairies and these orb things will destroy the tiny white snowflake bullets. Destroying the bullets sends those same bullets over to the opponent side of the screen. These bullets also spawn randomly anyways so it ends up piling a huge truck load of them. Also just cause there wasn't enough RNG in this game Lily White shows up randomly and f's your day up. Seriously Lily White is the hardest attack in this game. If you don't speed kill her your pretty much gonna take a hit.

This game usually gets a bit of hate due to the fact that it's entirely RNG whether you win or not. The Ai on Lunatic is practically a TAS and can just decide that it wants to win most of the time. This ends up making it hard just to 1CC normal mode when you get unlucky.

If you didn't notice from the replay screen, this run happened I think back in 2016 when I was actually good at bullet hells. Course back then I was fairly new to Touhou and played this game with a controller rather than the keyboard (hence the movement being the way it is). This run was completely luck. Basically the god RNG where the Ai just really wanted me to win for some reason. Normally runs of this game end up taking around 30 mins just because the Ai refuses to die. Idk why but they must just really suck at fighting Aya.

Also as a side note. I know this channel is mostly fighting game stuff with other random things thrown in, but judging from the looks of things I may not get back into fighting games. At least not in the foreseeable future. The new fighting games out either just really suck or are boring to me. So I may end up just posting bullet hell stuff on here as I play those kinds of games fairly often. Sorry about the long description but I wanted to talk about the game and run as well as mention this.
