Touhou Child of Are Remix (Akyuu’s Theme)
238I was supposed to release Lunatic Blue, but instead… this song was priority. Coming from the Perfect Memento in Strict Sense CD, it is Hieda no Akyuu’s beloved theme: Child of Are. Akyuu is the 9th Child of Miare. Born from the Hieda family every 120 to 180 years, she has the ability to not forget things she sees and records Gensokyo’s history. However, Akyuu has a short life span, in which every incarnation of the child of Miare dies at age 30. Though despite this, she is doing just fine and is not afraid of her circumstance. She is currently in good health.

My note:
After making this composition, I had to fight back my tears… Just kidding, but honestly, it really feels like a nice tribute to our beloved Akyuu. She’ll never be forgotten, because she will come back again, only just reincarnated as a new child of Are while still attaining the memories and history. Capturing the feel of this song kind of gave me the sense of life, death, and reincarnation. I dunno, it’s hard to put into words... The tubular bells in the second half represent the time she has left remaining before Akyuu passes on. Thought it was a nice touch on it. But yeah, a lot of emotions are packed with this composition, and I’m glad that I was able to convey the feelings of this song. If there are any minimal mistakes, let me know.
I know she’s is in good health, but if her death is confirmed, I shall accept it regardless. Though Akyuu will be fine.
And uh, sorry about putting this song in first. I was supposed to release Lunatic Blue after Youkai Space Travel, but after hearing the news of Akyuu, I felt that it was right to give her the priority. So yeah, Lunatic Blue is almost done. I’m putting in finishing touches on that song while also figuring out how to make a decent solo. That said, take it easy, everyone. And one more side note, please forgive my ugly edits since it’s not too perfect lol…
Seems I made a huge mistake and confusion regarding the whole lore/Akyuu death situation. I’m not good at writing scripts, but this one did cause a whole lot of confusion. I’m sorry if I did all that… I’m re-editing my description, just so that I won’t cause any more confusion. I won’t delete the video to do a re-edit, though I probably may end up cutting out the RIP Akyuu slide. Again, I apologize for the dumb confusion.
