122Today’s Touhou Windows Era GarageBand comes from the emotionless girl, Hata no Kokoro and her theme from Hopeless Masquerade: it’s The Lost Emotion! Hata no Kokoro is a menreiki youkai born from the 66 masks she wears. In the events of Hopeless Masquerade, she lost her Mask of Hope, going berserk with her own emotions and causing the Human Village to lose hope. This in turn, caused the religious leaders to compete in a rivalry to regain hope to the village and attempting to stop her.

Special thanks to umeko 81 and kani nyan for the wonderful fanart of Kokoro. There were so many beautiful Kokoro fanarts, but I had to settle with these two, it’s still stunning to me at least.
My note:
Ugh… this one unfortunately took a while… Too many emotions swirling around me… Just kidding, in all seriousness it was very difficult to pull off. When I first composed this song, I thought this wouldn’t do so well. I mean, it was quite a mess when I had to change up some of the notes and everything. In the 2nd phase, it got even worse adding some more flair with additional instruments playing. So much sound imbalance with this song, but after hearing it, somehow, it was overflowing with emotions. The feeling of this song just felt so intense, it felt as if I was battling my own emotions. The solo flairs kinda represent each mask of emotions that Kokoro wears. For example: the guitar solo pretty much represents mask of anger or the mask of seriousness. You can interpret the emotions of each flair solos however you like, just use your imagination. And of course if there are minimal mistakes, let me know.
Laziness… nah, it’s more like I don’t have enough time to do things now these days. Balancing between work and free time has really been throwing me off quite often. I need to stay productive and not lose anymore time. So with that said, I’m still alive and I’m still here that’s what matters. Now that Kokoro’s theme is finished, the next Touhou GarageBand Windows era song is gonna be the werewolf girl Kagerou’s theme: Lonesome Werewolf! But first, there are a few things I do wanna announce:
Yes, Sumireko’s theme is happening I’ve been making plans to revise this song heavily. Right now, it won’t happen yet unfortunately due to my untimely time constraints… so be patient for a little while longer. What I do wanna focus on is bringing back another PC-98 song. Not one, not two, but three! I’m gonna do another rerun of the 3 Alice-named themes: Alice Maestra, Alice in Wonderland, and Grimoire of Alice are returning for a new remake! Look forward to all the next compositions I’ll be making.
