Alright, it's time for another Touhou flash game!
This time, it's a game involving the MAAASTER SPAAARK!!!
(I'm not sure what the official title of this game is, but it has "guruguru" in its file name. Is that it?)

Update (April 12, 2023): This game's actual title is apparently: 魔理沙のぐるぐる魔法陣 / Marisa no Guruguru Mahoujin: Marisa's Whirling Magic Circle.

This game is entirely mouse controlled. The goal of this game is to crank out as many megatons of power as you can from your Master Spark! To do this, first you draw a circle, then you draw a symbol within that circle, then you grab your creation and spin it with as much force as you can muster and release! (And unlike with Myon Toss, bringing the cursor out of bounds during that phase does not disqualify your toss, or even hinder it in any way! However, if you go out of bounds during a drawing phase, you'll have to repeat that part of the drawing.)

You get to pick from three characters: Marisa, Yuka, and Tenshi. I'm assuming they all have the same potential power level, but the symbol you draw within the circle differs with each character. With Marisa, it's a star. With Yuka, it looks like a flower. And with Tenshi, I'm guessing that's a keystone.

Now, the amount of oomph you get out of your Master Spark depends on four factors: How big your circle is, how accurate you drew the circle, how accurate you drew the symbol within the circle, and how fast you spun the whole thing. (I'm pretty sure it's just a simple mathematical equation involving the four numbers, but I haven't quite figured out the formula yet. It seems like the spinning speed is cubed or maybe raised to the fourth power or something like that in the equation to me, though. If anyone figures out the exact formula, let me know!)

As I mentioned, the symbol you have to draw within the circle is different for each character. I think Yuka's has the trickiest pattern, while Tenshi's is obviously the simplest. Also, don't waste too much time drawing the symbol. The outline guide given to you fades after a few seconds, so you'll have to go by memory after that. And, try to avoid going out of bounds while drawing the symbol, because the outline guide won't reappear for you if that happens.

I've managed to crank out trillions of megatons with all three characters (with Yuka holding my best record at this time for some reason, despite her tricky to draw symbol), but I've read that you can totally obliterate the score display with some tricks such as zooming the page out for the spinning part. However, I wanted to see how well I could do without altering the page display in any way. (I will still take advantage of being able to go out of bounds for the spinning part, though.)

Also, I'm kind of disappointed that you can't choose Gengetsu as well, seeing as how she has a Master Spark type of attack when you battle against her in Touhou 4's Extra stage. (They used Yuka, so why not Gengetsu as well? Did they simply overlook Gengetsu, or is it because Yuka reappeared in a Windows-era Touhou game?)

Note: This game is not playable on the Wii's internet browser, and I strongly advise against even attempting to load it there, as it just produced a rapidly flickering screen for me when I tried it, and I think that might be seizure-inducing for some people.

I plan to continue making videos of some other Touhou flash games periodically for a while. If anyone has any suggestions for a Touhou flash game for me to play, I'll consider it, but there are no guarantees. It will kind of depend on whether I like the game enough or not.
