New demo of Forsaken Labyrinth (東方謎緣塔) came out with some adjustments, including to the music, artworks, patterns, and system.

My thoughts on the changes:
People complained the old system was too hard, so it got nerfed into the ground lmao. Now the game throws gobs of karma at you, so you're never really at risk of losing any of your cards unless you actively avoid picking up karma and also die a lot. Not sure of the point of the "lose your cards" system anymore.
Grazing with iframes not doing *anything* for score anymore is a big shame. The danmaku has lots of dense firing patterns, which were perfect for using the undercurrent card and Sakuya A's bomb to iframe-graze for higher karma. Now there's no point in diving into those bullets and grazing them, you have to wait for them to spread out and graze on the boundaries like a chump.
Overall, the system still feels kinda jank. I've given feedback to the devs and hopefully they can improve it before full release.
