THIS SPEEDRUN IS SEGMENTED!!
Meaning segments were recorded separately and will be presented together as a finished run. This is not meant to be compared to a single segment run and exists only as a proof of concept for the route.

I chose to do this first run segmented because of how lengthy it is, and segmenting it allows me to play a bit of it every day and take notes on what can be improved on future runs. Not to mention I have work and need to sleep too.

Timer starts when selecting New Game and ends on the fade to black after the results screen in the 20F regular final boss. For the purposes of this segmented run, time was paused after the "Game was saved" message appears on screen, and is resumed when selecting the save file on the title screen.

I go out of my way to collect treasures since it will allow me to get the "Open 256 chests" achievement by the endgame, which gives you 50k money that is VERY necessary to beat the game underlevelled. I also grind a bit on each floor to make sure I level up naturally and use the exp bonuses that come from just battling while exploring the map.


This video covers the third stratum, a really tough one since our underlevel is starting to show and we don't have many ways to compensate for it yet. Things are weak to CLD and FIR so we abuse Nitori, Chen, Utsuho and Mokou to deal with most trash. Komachi again helps with DTH and tanking.


The Iku fight is a damage rush, and we need to win by spamming Nitori's Extending Arm to deal as much damage as possible before Iku wipes us with her really powerful nukes when she hits about half HP. Kourin is key here with Efficient Formation Switching.

The Tenshi fight is absurdly difficult and requires very careful management of buffs and resources. We exploit her AI by locking herself into Sword of Hisou, which will target a super buffed Nitori that can live 2 hits and keep everyone safe. Minoriko focuses on providing heals while Reisen debuffs Tenshi's MND so Iku can spam Elekiter Draon Palace for big damage, all thanks to her skill that doubles debuffs on enemies, effectively bypassing most of her MND.
