Third Stage; introducing Keine Kamishirasawa, the Half-beast of Knowledge and History
Travelling further on the road, Yukari and Reimu encounter Keine over the hidden human village.
Keine has the ability to change or hide history and she made it look like there was never a human village to begin with to safe the humans from attacks. Keine noticed something was wrong with the moon because half-beasts are very sensitive of moonlight and she accused the heroins for being the culprits at first.
Later she helps leading the way to the real culprits and still stand her ground in protecting the village.
Other than her role as protector, Keine is a teacher and is often shown teaching team (9) for obvious reasons. She hasn't that much influence on the story; later in Extra stage she appears in Beast-form and is shown with a relation to Fujiwara no Mokou and with that her involvment in that incident, but there aren't any groundbreaking facts about her which could've changed the course of the story.
Changing history seems like a pretty powerful abilty in my opinnion and maybe they should've shown more of that potential, especially in beast form.
As for the fight, the game starts to get crucial at this point. Keine spams a lot of big bullets at you giving you very little time for reactions or aiming at her. The fight is pretty tough but far from difficult.
