Touhou 东方夏夜祭 ~ Shining Shooting Star - Lunatic 1cc Full Borders
2,871Shining Shooting Star is the latest Chinese Touhou fangame and it's actually pretty damn rad.

On the left of the screen is a meter. Point items, power items, cancelled bullets and big star items raises this meter. Once the meter is full it activates a border.
Killing big enemies makes them drop big stars. The color of the star changes depending on it's height on the screen and collecting it changes the meter to it's corresponding color as well as the color of the border when the meter gets filled.
Red stars give a life piece when picked up and a red border increases your firepower.
Green stars give you a bomb piece and a border that gives you a free hit.
Blue stars give you +5000 point value and blue borders autocollect all items.
If you let a border run out without getting hit it will fill one of the border slots at the right side of the screen. When all slots are filled when you kill the boss of a stage you will trigger a secret spellcard that is worth a ton of score and gives a free bomb when killed.
In the case of the final boss it will trigger a TLB of sorts.
Getting all full borders is actually pretty strict, especially on the early stages. You have to actually make an effort to manage your meter and get the most optimal bullet cancels. If you waste even a single border by getting hit you'll likely fucked for the stage.
An important thing to remember is that you don't gain any meter when a border is currently active. So plan big increases for right when a border ends.
