This extra stage gave me war flashbacks.

Honestly, Koishi is a difficult boss along side Yukari.
Touhou really tests the players determination, skill and muscle memory. This stage is example that completely demonstrates those points.

I chose Nitori's shot type rather than Alice's because I needed a specific shot type to clean up the screen once hit similar to Reimu Yukari's shot type. It was necessary for Depths "Genetics of the Unconscious", fuck that card, I hate it. Besides, it was super useful getting past narrow bullet sections and you can abuse it pretty easily too.
This stage wasn't very ideal for Marisa since she has a bigger hitbox than Reimu's which is why Nitori's bomb came in very handy.

However, her shot took longer to take down tanky fairies early on, you have to finish them off quickly otherwise they'l persist spamming oval patterned bullets. Regardless, Koishi's last three gave me anxiety, I don't get how players can catch "Philosophy of the Despised".

As for Sanae, her spells were frustrating to get pass. Although, there is a neat trick on capturing her first one. I can't really describe in exact detail, the bar below where it says "Enemy" might give you an idea (if you need help lemme know).

Ultimately, this stage is difficult, but again not impossible - always remain calm during the danmaku storm. I found being under pressure distracting, resulting a "game over" due to having lost all my lives. Yeah, I might've missed a few times while spam bombing, but I was upmost cheering in joy to have finally defeated her. Marisa couldn't help but to do a victory dance afterwards.

All I can say is that Flandre is MUCH easier compared to Koishi that's for sure!
