EDIT: I went to go get the car battery tested and it was bad. This model has a smaller H4 battery that only puts out 480CCA, and so I'm guessing it wasn't putting out the proper amps to start the car and do the system check to report back to the remote system. Once I replaced the battery, I stopped having issues.

I've been using remote start on my Toyota Corolla for over 3 years. over the past 3 months it has stopped functioning. It no longer works through the Toyota app which I still have a subscription to, nor does it work on the key fob. I was told that the engine must be cold and that the car must have more than a quarter tank of gas. neither of those things have been true throughout my ownership of the vehicle. I took it to a Toyota dealership and they said since there was no engine light and that the engine was already warm, it was working as intended. I had also called the Toyota connect customers support, which is very difficult to get a hold of, and they stated that they've been experiencing outages. Why would that affect my key fob?

Lastly, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it still shows me when my car's doors are unlocked or if something is in the back seat, but trying to start the engine results and a notification from the app itself that is completely blank. No error code.
