Adam describes how he had used TP for this game visual FX:
"yes, basically all particles were TP (gun fire, debris) all destruction, especially the end destruction scene. The end scene was retimed via xmesh after going through TP. The phoenix explosions were driven from TP particles but nothing fancy. Also the nozzle smoke from the guns from the mech are actually TP flow/mesh ."
