TR Plays CYBERPUNK 2077 Ep1 pt2 ~ A Shady Fixer & Lizzie's Bar
0V saved a corpo netrunner from being chopped up for parts by Scavs, but the remainder of the Scavs from that hideout attempted to kill him and Jackie as they made it back to Watson. V's car was banged up, so Jackie dropped you off at your apartment, took Misty out on a date and sent the car to get it fixed afterward.
In the morning, Jackie returned the V's car and informed him that a new fixer wants their services: Dex Deshawn. He's shady, got into deep shit in Pacifica a couple years before, but he's a bigshot at the Afterlife. Jackie is very enthusiastic, but V is wary. However, they decide to roll with it. They drive to Misty's and V got new optics from Viktor Vektor, the best ripperdoc in Watson (if not Night City as a whole).
After the operation, Jackie informs V that Dex is waiting for him nearby. Going for a ride with Dex, V learns from him about the very dangerous gig that will have Jackie and him steal a very important chip known as the Relic, property of the megacorp juggernaut Arasaka. The person who hired Dex is Evelyn Parker, a client of Lizzie's Bar. But first, they need the MT0D12 "Flathead," a Militech prototype bot, to infiltrate Konpeki Plaza. It is in the hands of the Maelstrom gang, and Dex outright bought the bot from Brick, the former leader of the gang. After Maelstrom had a shakeup in leadership, though, it is unknown if the new leader, Royce, will keep his predecessor's word. Dex asks V if NC let's you choose who you want to be. As always, V states that you either die a legend or a nobody, and for V, he wants to go down in a blaze of glory.
V decides to visit Lizzie's Bar first and speak with Evelyn Parker about the job. Turns out she knows Yorinobu Arasaka personally, and even recorded a BD of her visit at Konpeki with Yorinobu. V meets with the Mox's tech expert and BD editor, Judy Alvarez, and dives into a raw BD of a robbery gone wrong for calibration and experience what a raw BD is. After a short intermission, V brings in T-Bug to investigate Evelyn's BD recording of Yorinobu's penthouse and look for turrets and other security obstacles while looking for where the Relic might be hidden. They narrowed down the best possible place where it could be in the penthouse.
Afterward, V expressed his hopes to see Judy again, and before he leaves, Evelyn says that she'd cut a new deal with V alone without Dex, splitting the money made from the gig 50/50. V warns that Dex would not take kindly to this, but she assures V that there are other fixers, and her offer is the best he'll ever get. So he decides to think about it and called Jackie about Evelyn, expressing that she must be keeping secrets. Jackie tells V that it could be paranoia on V's end, and stress kills. V attempts to bribe the bartender for more info, but he refuses. So, out of respect, V didn't push for more info on her.
