Trail Out - Autódromo Lap Record (with car setup)
92Trail Out is a new racing game inspired by Flatout, which came out earlier this month. The devs offered me a key for it, so I gave it a try and it was actually decently fun for me. I finished the career after around 15 hours and now I went for my first leaderboard run.
Autódromo is a very short track but it's actually not trivial at top speed, with at least 3 different spots where things can go wrong. For the first corner I recommend moving from the left side to the right as you are entering the corner. This is how I stopped flying off the track here.
There are many cars that I haven't tried yet but so far the Skyline appears to be the fastest one. I tried all 3 transmission parts and the most basic one turned out to be the fastest for me. I also used manual transmission to stay in 5th gear for the whole lap, since it has the same top speed as 6th gear, so 6th appears to be pointless. I also used the basic suspension here as a test but I don't think that this made any difference, so you can probably use the stronger ones.
Over the next days I will try to set some fast times on some of the longer tracks as well, so you might see some more Trail Out action on my channel moving forward. :)
I also recommend checking out the soundtrack of the game, since it's pretty awesome. The songs are from the bands Onlap, New Vegas and Nick Eyra. Especially Onlap is a cool band that I wasn't aware of and they even allow the use of their songs in YouTube videos. If I show longer tracks I will probably include music in the videos as well.
