Small note, decided to change my channel name a little bit. Felt it was appropriate to use the initials I've been using for shmups (outside of the times I use my actual initials).

Below is a big text wall. Mostly just talking about why I approached things the way I did. Probably the biggest text wall I wrote since I don't think I've written this much except for the times annotations were a thing. I'll just mention here I don't plan on doing a nightmare run in SC or 3rd any time soon. I was reminded how much of a headache Kurt is in this run. Not in the mood to try my luck with SC's prologue once I finish this run.

Actually managed to get a working set up to beat Lorence. A lot of trouble just to get this guy down between his Tearals and Earth Guard Ex. I kind of based my strategy on another video that used Estelle for attacking (even though that was on normal). I might have been better off with Estelle and Schera pelting him with magic, but I rather not run the risk of running low on EP given how much he wants to survive. Maybe I'll try that next time if I feel like doing this fight again. Zero storm and the frequency Lorence gets his turns are pretty much the reasons why I didn't go for that strategy. I don't think he used that in this attempt even though I think there were probably a few times I was baiting it. Also wanted an excuse to have Estelle on melee duty is because I got her a fancy stick.

I think the most important thing I did in preparation for this was hoarding ice cream from the ice cream shop in Grancel. Arena money proved useful for that purpose. Needed some means to get back CP after the two fights before this battle.

For Kloe, I gave her both the grail locket and gladiator belt. Found that Lorence wastes enough turns for her to recover enough CP for Kaempfer without running out. For her orbment, probably the most important things I stuck on her is an Action 3, Attack 3, and Hit 3. Since she is relegated on debuff duty, I can't spend time using her as a caster. Hit 3 is just to make sure Kampfer doesn't miss too often.

For Estelle, she had the gladiator headband, lily necklace, and the mystic stave. After a couple of attempts, I think the last thing I wanted was to lose complete control over Estelle. Wasn't too sure if I should risk having a confused Estelle running around while trying a set up involving 2 gladiator bands. For orbment, the main important things I had were an Attack 3, Defense 3, Hit 2, and Action 2. Couldn't afford to cast spells with her either. I also found that Lorence uses anti-sept if at least one person can be muted. I could be confusing this over multiple attempts, but I didn't see him waste his turns casting that if everyone had some immunity to mute.

Schera is pretty much support mage here. Just made sure she was equipped with stuff that gives her mute and confusion resistance. I think the only important stuff I had on her orbment were a cast 2, ep cut 1, and mind 3. She was mostly responsible for both keeping Estelle alive and attempt to do damage if given the chance. I also tried to use her as bait in hopes of making Lorence waste a turn with Zero Storm, which does nothing if Kloe debuffed him.

I think outside of the start, the way I approach this battle doesn't really need to much explanation outside of what I already mentioned. Its important that I at least move Schera at the start just so I don't set off the conditions for him to use his S Craft (which is if people are grouped together). I do use Hurricane with Estelle just to position her in a way to keep Schera a bit safer.
