Lorence fight: https://youtu.be/rDUGKtZ7EWA

I'll just apologize here for using "Castle at Dusk" in this video. I couldn't resist. I've probably mentioned this already, but I don't have any intentions of starting up a nightmare run in SC right now. Just give me a few months. This is probably my longest video.

With this video, this should be my last video for FC unless for whatever reason I decide to redo stuff. Got max BP in this run, though I missed a couple of chests in this run (I was hoping to see if I could get that out of the way). Lorence's second battle was posted earlier in case anyone missed it.

In case I didn't mention it in the Lorence video, I horded the CP recovering ice cream in Grancel. Probably bought over 80 of them in preparation for the final stretch of the game. Also had the jelly beans from Jenis Royal Academy as backup.

For Kurt's team, I focused my attention on taking Kurt out. My memory of this battle in hard is a blur, but fighting Kurt this time around reminded me of my troubles with him in SC. Mostly focused on him to prevent him from healing everyone else on his team and reviving anyone that has fallen.

For the Intelligence Division, tried to make the soldiers fight Lorence. I didn't realize Lorence can be confused in this battle until I looked at other videos. I think at some point, I decided it was only worth the trouble keeping one guy confused.

First go at Dunan I tried to fight him more typically and failed. The attempt shown here I decided that my safest bet would be to use chaos brand on the axe guy. My understanding with anyone that is confused is that they will attack anyone within their range so I wasn't too worried about Dunan getting killed. I did have to resist the urge of bashing his skull in with all the things he did in FC. Still nice to see him redeem himself in SC. Side note, I originally wanted to use Castle at Dusk for this fight and the Amalthea fight before this one but I forgot to turn off the BGM.

For Amalthea 2, I actually got pretty unlucky with both archaisms summoning a friend on my first attempt. Luckily that didn't happen here. Pretty sure I had Kloe on debuff from this point forward.

For Richard, had Kloe keep Richard debuffed. Richard is relatively harmless after being hit by Kaempfer, but it does make things tricky if I end up using Lichtkreis. My main focus are the robots helping him. Things move more smoothly if I can take out at least one of them. I think there were times I was baiting them to use their art canceling move, if only to keep damage on one person as opposed to everyone. I think at one point, I decided to force feed Joshua ice cream just so I can spam Black Fang.

For Reverie 2, my strategy was just to force feed Joshua as much ice cream as I can. Decided that would be the best way for me to deal with all the drones while dealing decent enough damage to the boss. The last thing I want is one of those drones using shadow spear to instant kill someone (actually happened in my first attempt). Death Rage is probably the most dangerous attack outside of that. Don't think I can do much about someone dying during that aside from having earth wall up. Things do become a bit more bearable once I wear down Reverie enough for its art cancelling move to get disabled. Think I started force feeding Estelle ice cream near the end.

For Reverie 3, I just wanted to get that one achievement out of the way.

Definitely nice to return to FC and see how tame things are before everything escalates in the future games. My main goal for this run was max BP. Wasn't going to be too critical on myself if I missed a couple of chests on the way. My main gripe for FC is really how much "To Be Suggestive" is used, and I think I somewhat got around that with the editing I did. There are things I could have done better. New to trying to loop stuff with audacity.

Don't know if I said this before, but the battle system in the Sky trilogy and CS1 and 2 do remind me of FFX's conditional turn-based system.

I'll probably do more playthroughs like these on games I'm interested if the urge strikes me. I kind of deviated a lot from how shmup heavy my youtube channel is in the past year. I only decided to give the Sky trilogy an exception since I never done this kind of thing outside of the BN videos I did publish. Kind of consider all this an online journal where I can put my thoughts down with the videos acting as the context for my thoughts.
