Given the current state of lockdown restrictions in England, keeping away from the stations, me and my dad drove to the track side at Hest Bank Level Crossing for some socially distanced train photography. Set in Lancashire and lying just on the outskirts of Morecambe, this is the only section of track where the West Coast Mainline lives up to its name as it very briefly touches the coast here before moving back in land.

In this video, you will see trains from Barrow-in-Furness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Skipton and Windemere. We also saw some elusive freight trains and a rare rolling stock movement from Kilmarnock to Ilford.
