Trains at Lincoln Central 11/12/2007 Part 1
0This is Part 1 of the two-part video that I did when I visited Lincoln Central back in December 2007. It was very cold on the day this footage was made and I had a bit of a cold as well which muffled my voice a bit. The video is lower quality than some of my other videos because this was made when I first starting going out filming with my camera and I didn't know how to render the footage properly. At the time this video was made, Lincoln Central still had its original Semaphore Signals present and 2007 was the final year that these signals were operated as they unfortunately got replaced by the new LED colour light signals that you will now see at Lincoln from 2008 and onwards. First of all, the video starts off with 66607 with the Blue liveried VTG TEA Tankers which passes though Lincoln at a low speed because a Class 153 had just departed in front of it about 3 mins before, though the signal ahead must have changed because the 66 started to power up again. Then a Northern Rail Class 144 Railbus pulls into Platform 5 to set down passengers when it then reverse its way into Plaform 7 where it will then head out to Adwick. Then 153311 heads off from Platform 6 bound for Newark Northgate via Collingham with a Class 156 numbered 156401 still in Central Trains livery although its debranded as these units are now operated by East Midlands Trains and they just started operation at the time this video was taken. Then I film the same Class 144 Railbus depart from Platform 7 for Adwick while it makes a deaferning ear-piercing screech on the curve while it joins the mainline out from Lincoln. Next up we have 156401 leaving Platform 6 for Leicester via Nottingham and Mansfield then 153376 in debranded Central Trains livery leaves Platform 5 for Cleethorpes via Barnetby while another Northern Rail Class 144 which is 144012 pulls into the same Platform to set own passengers and then heads off to reverse on to Platform 7 where it will then head to Adwick. The 153379 pulls into Platform 6 with a service bound for Newark Northgate via Collingham where Part 1 of this video ends.
