Trains at the DGNO Mockingbird Yard - 6/27/2020
15This video shows TRE, Amtrak, & DGNO trains that went by DGNO's Mockingbird Yard on a Saturday around noon time. A friend decided to check the place out and this was actually my first time going there. When we arrived we barely missed a small DGNO local that was heading to Irving. We did get the chance to see 2 TRE's fly around 75mph as our first trains. Then that DGNO local that we missed got aligned to Irving so we decided to chase it. However it was taking forever and Amtrak was about to show up so we decided to head back to the Mockingbird Yard. When we got back we only had about 10 minutes before Amtrak showed up. Unfortunately being the idiot that I am, I forgot to push the record button on my camcorder, or I mean I pushed it but I guess I didn't push it hard enough. Luckily I decided to bring my phone to record it too so at least I was able to get that. Then we saw 2 more TRE's go by before finally some DGNO's started to do some switching. They were moving cars in & out of the yard for at least a good hour. Then we decided to see one more TRE haul at 80mph before calling it a day.
Funny story actually in between Amtrak & the next eastbound TRE, I had my camera on my tripod just standing there and then the wind blew it over & broke my battery.
