32So this is one good reason to quarantine any new fish. Sometimes they don't show signs of disease right away. Also it's easier for the fish to be in a smaller tank when they are sick. It can be physically difficult to swim in larger spaces and get to the surface as bettas do. Also it's easier for me to treat a smaller space. I can change less water and use less meds to get the job done. Also, I don't have to expose or treat any other fish in the larger community tank to Ich while all this is happening.
I think Fuego will be okay. I think I caught it early. It's not as bad as some cases I've treated in the past and he seems very strong. We will see. He has a good chance at beating this. I'm using the directions on the bottle of the medication.
