Trepang2 - [speed-play] - realistic military style fps - max settings -
[I have returned to one of my favorite games for a different type of play-style, this time it is an action-play with emphasis on speed and realistic combat rather than exploration (from my previous version video). Some elements of game happenings didn't go in my favor at the end of the video, I could've cut those out for here and leave a very nice and optimized presented video package, however I opted to keep it in because at the same time some unique game mechanics and physics display-showcases were at work and happened and I thought it'd be much more interesting to see those as well, so enjoy =]
Thanks for spending your time with me ^_^ as today we will dwelve into another working title and check it out in detail what it offers and the aspects of it. So get comfortable as we will sink into our sofa chairs and crack open this game :D
Well idk what a Trepang2 is but it's a pretty cool thing, I mean game, I think. (But where is Trepang1 btw?? I'd like to play that one as well :D hehe). After being very curious I looked up the word 'trepang' and to my surprise it's not a made up word and it's a real life existing word with an actual definition. It's actually the Indonesian term for sea cucumber, which is an edible animal that can be prepared in a variety of ways for human food consumption. In my own definition I think a trepang can also be the sounds of my boots hitting the concrete floor while running around in this game "tre..tre..tre.." and pang is when I shoot my pistol in there "pang..pang..pang" hehe haha lol
This is definitely a dude-man game as it's a brick and mortar, steel guns & man on man battles featuring lots of non-stop flying sparks action. It starts and ends with a theme song that sounds like a yoga-dude (lol but I liked the uniqueness of the soundtrack here - very interesting) singing from atop a mountain down to our prison below from where we must escape it. And that is all I'm going to tell you about it here so to best not spoil anything more, you can watch me play it here or go get it yourself from the Steam platform. But you best be ready to sacrifice 35GB of your HD space as you can see the game is huuge. I had to delete it soon after I finished playing. And you must also have a pretty good computer too and the emphasis is on a good graphics card because this beast of a game is a performance chugger for real ..lol
This game for me was great, it was one of the most realistic and fun shooters I have played in a long time. The game started in 2017 and you can see its age somewhat but it's still looking great and very modern. And most importantly the gameplay is so addictive. In fact it had me thinking about it for a long time after I have finished with this demo. I can't wait for the whole game to come out and I'm curious of its final pricing as well. I am toying a little with the idea of just downloading it again and playing some more.
In the game here, I think the difficulty was very fair however towards the end of the game I forgot that I can actually trip soldiers up. This is very useful as you can reduce your damage intake and redirect your fire at the different targets which are firing upon you. Well, so therefore, by the end of the game where they are many soldiers attacking I forgot about this gameplay feature lol and had a tough time. I initially started the game on Hard and believe I could have made it all the way through and to the end if I had used this tripping feature. So I did have to turn the difficulty down a bit to normal so I could finish the game but then I realized and remembered about the tripping feature lol. Oh and I almost forgot to say that the gore system is pretty cool too, but I won't spoil it for you, you'd have to see it or play it to see what I mean :)
In the end I think this game has a huge replay value as it's so fun and it was a 11/10 gems experience for me - in another words a truly -|-Stellar-|- game. If the designers see my writings here, I would like to see more outdoor areas as well. The game engine is very good at rendering both inside and outside spaces but the game takes place mostly indoors. If more outdoor areas will be added then this game would be beyond Stellar for me (12/10 gems) so make it so, pleeaseee! :D
