Troubleshoot and Tutorial: How to Install Gears of War for PC

Everyone loves Gears of War but the PC version have people confused on how to get the game running.

Get the patch files here https://forums.gearsofwar.com/showthread.php?3757-Gears-of-War-PC-for-Windows-8-8-1

Text Version if you dont have time to watch

1) Install game but do not run the game yet
2) Go to the forum link I posted and download the .zip file from MKH2K9
3) Extract to desktop etc via Peazip, WinRar, 7-Zip
4) Grab the Games for Windows Live client here http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/DownloadClient and install that
5) Run the patches in the order that MKH2K9 said in the forum post
6) Run the game and sign in to Microsoft Games for Windows Live and Enjoy!

For Gaming Dragons copy of the game, do not install any patches that I listed above as it will screw up this version of the game. Instead follow the directions that Gaming Dragons gave you and place that binary file into the folder where Gears of War was installed to (should be C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/ Gears of War)
