YEAH, this game feels like a modernized version of the old RPG games I played in PSP like Phantasy Star Online and Radiant Mythology.

A lot of people compared it to the Persona series but I have never played any Persona game. I can only based it on clips I've seen from that series and I think they might be correct. What stands out with Metaphor: ReFantazio for me, however, is not its similarity with Persona but the UI design which is incredibly artistic yet still readable.

Overall, the game still has all the mechanics of common JRPGs where exploration and turn-based combat are front and center. Next is the visuals. However, stating simply Metaphor: ReFantazio as just like any other JRPG is unfair as it has its own unique features revolving its Archetype system.

The Archetype system allows different characters to summon powers from heroes of the past. Summoning their power means pulling out an Archetype which has its own strengths and weaknesses based on the Virtues of the hero it took its power from. You will unlock different Archetypes as you progress through the story and strengthen your character's bonds with their companions.

Yea, I love this game already and I'm keen to buying it but it's honestly very pricey.
