Trying out My own #Orion ON-MF2 vs a #Locust a #Vindicator a #Hunchback and #Atlas
I had watch Mechanical Frog's video “Why do We Love the Orion” ( • Why do we Love the Orion? #BattleTec... . It seem weird that he did not give his Orion ON-1MF a Plasma Rifle. I decide to make my own version, CODE NAME: ON-MF2. I give it a Plasma Rifle, two SubPPCs, and Inferno missiles.
BattleTech 2018 dose not have a built Plasma Rifle. I had to make own. I started by checking MegaMek Lab and Sarna.net. Both agree that PPC (https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Particle_Projector_Cannon) and Plasma Rifle (https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Plasma_rifle) both do 10 points of damage and generate 10 points of heat. I copy the PPC Json files, rename it to Plasma Rifle, making a Plasma Rifle that dose 56 points of damage and generate 35 points of heat. I then had to figure how muck heat damage the Plasma Rifle would do. I use the following math.
35 The heat generated by the PC game's PPC
Divided by
10 The heat generated by the Table Top Game's PPC
3.5 The results
3.5 The results
times
6 The heat damage dose by the Table Top Game's Plasma Rifle to mechs

I have a Plasma Rifle that dose 21 points of damage to all targets.
What do you think? Is it too powerful? Please let me know.
