Tuff E Nuff was for me a very special game. One that holds more on my heart thanks to nostalgia than for being a good game.

Mind you, I dont consider it bad, but barebones for its day, specially compared to SFII, but for the SNES, back then, it was imo the 2nd best FG on that year (1993). Well it had it easy. Battle Blaze, Fatal Fury, Power Athlete, Doomsday Warrior and what not.

i do LOVE the aesthetics of this game, the palete ussed, moody and gray, the Sunset in the Gajet stage, the dust/smoke clouds all over the place, the entrance to the tower, the Missile Silo, the Samurai Dojo. And the climax final battle, all clicks with me.

The characters are awesome, some feel like made by SNK, Jade, the final boss is so badass, same for Vortz, Kotono and Rei, my faves. Remember this all was in 1993 where archetypes didnt existed!

The music is SO GOOD, it holds well today too, it lacks a bit on the SFX and voices.

With a cheat you can access the rest of the characters for VS player/cpu modes, but mot of them feel incomplete sadly.

The control is decent? Better than what I mentioned but not like SFII, you can do all your specials without issue. No proper combos (but there are ways to...) and throws feel a bit OP. You can antiair with normals, whill punish, some characters suffer from trip guard, etc you can have some decent/serious and fun matches here.

Enjoy this 1CC run on hard. Sadly, the US version axed A LOT of content from the Japan one (Dead Dance) like the blood on the face of the characters during mid fight, the mid story dialogs and the endings which featured some cool looking images imo.
