Tundra Village Abandoned since 2008 Revisited (2021)
36Tundra Village is located off State Highway 16. All that can be seen is a locked gate, an unpaved road, and empty homes with broken windows and graffiti.
In 2007, developer Mauro Padilla went ahead with the project.
However, there was no approved plan from the county which ended up costing investors millions.
Padilla was later sentenced in 2008 for lying to first national bank to attain construction.
Under its new name Palo Alto Villas, an ambitious team of developers and investors plan to redevelop the community's 136 townhomes and make them affordable.
It seems that is now a wash out...no plans on completion so for now remains a Ghost Town since 2008 an eyesore for near bye residents!
