Tunnel Vision (AGS) Free CGA 4 Colors Pixel Art Thriller Point and Click Adventure Game
20I have never been a great fan of the classic CGA palette, those colors are just plain fugly, but when a skilled pixel artist does some magic, it can be really enjoyable, like in the game Tunnel Vision, this is the best thing to happen to CGA in a long time!
The graphics a spectacularly good for a 4 color palette, and even a CGA palette. There are no real walking animation or the like to look at as we play in first person view, but the moving things outside the train are also very cool effects and in that regard very effective showing you the speed of the train and conveying movement.
The cool music also adds a lot to the game and is very fitting, tense during action, ambient when you need to puzzle around. The puzzles are not of the easy kind but doable, but having no indication of a hotspot whatsoever is not fun to play around with, but it is the first bigger game of the author so there sure is room for improvement. I am not a big fan ob timed puzzles either, but it gets especially hard when you don't know if you clicked a point of interest or not while timer is running down and it is all about nothing less but your survival. But once you survived that it is all about surviving. There is a bomb on the train and you need to stop the train before it reaches the tunnel and you have to solve loads of puzzles and climb around in and on top of the train.
