TURBO OUTRUN (MEGADRIVE - FULL GAME)
43Zeus presents Turbo Outrun (aka Outrun II) (un-emulated) for the Megadrive, a true classic from the golden era of megadrive gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1992
Out Run was indeed a very good conversion on the megadrive so I was very keen to see and play the sequel on it and end verdict,...it's not bad.
This time it's 1 long road across America from the East to West coast against the time limit where you're pitted against not only the police but an annoying opponent driving a Porsche and if he beats you over any of the 4 chunks of 4 stages, you girl will leave with him,...GOLD DIGGER BITCH!!!
Every 4 stages you get to improve your car by adding special parts which is an ok new idea but for me I feel it slows down the continuity of the race, i'd rather continually race from start to finish.
Also the addition of the turbo button is quite fun and a nice idea but you must be careful when and where to use it otherwise you'll just keep crashing.
Once again they've sampled the speech from the arcade but this time it sound more rougher than the prequel on the megadrive, and the game it'self doesn't seem as smooth or realistic as the first Out run megadrive game.
I'ts certainly good to play but not as a good conversion as the original.
I have used the infinite time cheat so I could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure.
