Turning off Windows Update 3 ways:

Push Win and r buttons at once.
Type gpedit.msc then enter.
Choose this path: Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Update - Turn off Configure Automatic Updates.

Go to Computer Management - Services and Applications - Services - Windows Update
or
push Win and r buttons at once.
Type services.msc then enter.
Stop Windows Update then turn it off.

Go to This PC - Local Disk where Windows installed - Windows - SoftwareDistribution.
Rename Downloads folder. Copy ReportingEvents file. Rename the copied ReportingEvents file to Downloads.
