Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (N64) live stream, as Joshua Fireseed *Mature game warning*
Warning: This game is M-rated. It contains blood and gore.
In this live stream, I am playing the third and last game of the original Turok trilogy in the N64, Shadow of Oblivion, under Normal difficulty as Joshua Fireseed, the great Turok character from Turok 2 Seeds of Evil.
The game, taking place 2 years after Turok 2 when Joshua took out the Primagen, is about Danielle and Joseph Fireseed, his older and younger siblings respectively, on a quest to stop the next villain Oblivion after Joshua himself was (by lazy writing) defeated by its minions, who did appear in the second game, and become his successors as new Turoks.
Though under normal circumstances you choose between Danielle and Joseph, which go somewhat separate paths with their own weapons, there is an unlockable cheat that allows you to play as Joshua himself, by completing the game twice as both characters under the hardest difficulty (Oblivion), without dying once in both playthroughs. When as Turok 2's warrior, he follows both their paths at times and has the full set of weapons of either his siblings, bringing a unique advantage. Because this game doesn't save data, a Controller Pak is required to access this feature much more easily.
Compared to the first two Turok games, Turok 3 to me is a downgrade. Although the cutscenes are actually impressive for N64 standards, those are better worked than the game's overall design, especially with the fact that the beta version was unfortunately superior and the game engine was completely different and inferior to the first two games' program. And, the overall story just doesn't fit properly for a Turok game. Despite this, it's not bad, but the rush in development is evident, especially in the last level.

I am playing this stream on Sept. 2 to honor my baby brother who died at birth in 2009 (he would've been 13), and is ironically named Joshua. So, I'm playing the Turok version Joshua as remembrance for him. I planned to do Turok 2, but I already did streams of that game.
The stream will be muted. Played in real N64 hardware. A few cheats will be on to save time.
