Turok: Rage Wars (gbc) in 19:49, on Hard difficulty
Turok: Rage Wars was the 3rd handheld Turok game released in 1999 that marks the first in the series to utilize a top-down perspective and thus a completely new 8-way character engine. The story is a sort of sequel to the GBC Turok 2 plot where the Amaranthine Accordance has used dimensional gates to travel to four different planets where they plan to set up bases from which to launch an invasion of earth. With only 4 planet levels it is rather short but very challenging due to the large enemy numbers and their quick movements. Each planet has its own defining, albeit cliche features - green jungle, arid desert, frozen and volcanic. The scroll stages from T2 were expanded upon, lasting a bit longer but offering more range of movement and enemy engagement.
Without going into any details this game is very broken lol. You can basically keep a weapon forever just by jumping after each shot. This made the sky the limit when it came to optimising and I had a fun time constantly pushing this one to sub 20. Feel free to ask any questions.
