I have solved how to fix the Turtle Beach x12 Headset noise from the recording Mic... by using a small USB sound card ! Plug your Sound and Mic male plugs into the USB unit and then plug this into your USB port with the extra USB power lead. This processes the recording through the USB soundcard before it reaches the PC Computer, which seems to create all the poor noise in the background... Works with Xbox 360 too ~ Hope this helps ?
