Jangolode Mine was one of the key sources in Westfall of minerals for Stormwind City. It was taken over by the Defias Brotherhood for a short time, however, when they were defeated the kobolds claimed the mine for themselves.

During the Burning Legion's invasion, the area fell under the Legion's control. Its residents were enslaved by nathrezim and were later killed by the defenders.

Gold Coast Quarry used to be a valuable mineral and gold mine in Westfall for the kingdom of Stormwind. As the region fell to ruins, the Defias Brotherhood once owned and patrolled the quarry for a long while, but since their defeat against the People's Militia, the quarry has been abandoned.

Around the time of the Cataclysm, the mages Tannos and Karlain were sent here by Theocritus‎. The duo and the members of the People's Militia were then ambushed by Defias members.
