TUSSLE IN TOSA | Let's Play Like A Dragon - Ishin - Finale
0We managed to finish the story and completed the Finale on Legend difficulty. A few hiccups here and there. Not sure why they included giant enemies with ranged attacks. Now we have a whole lot of side content to complete starting with the substories which should ultimately lead to more.
Trophy/Achievement Timestamps
2:46:47 - Legend Of An Era Trophy/Achievement - While in most Yakuza games you will be required to unlock Legend difficulty after completing your first playthrough you can instead select this difficulty from the very beginning. Another good thing is that you don't need to play the entire game on Legend difficulty to begin with. After you have trained with the Shinsengumi as part of the story you will reach the final point of no return which the game will let you know of. Keep in mind this is also the last time you can change the difficulty as once you enter a point where you are constantly in combat this will prevent you from doing so. You are only required to complete the Finale in Legend difficulty to get the trophy/achievement. This is of course not going to be easy if you are not prepared though. You need to stock up on as many healing items as you can namely Longevity Pills if you have completed the friendship event for the Ecchudo Pharmacy. Now you need to craft the Shiranui which is a slightly weaker sword to what you probably have however it will have a fire effect which can stun enemies including bosses making even the hardest points very easy if you get if off. In order to craft the Shiranui you need to improve the smithing level to Level 5 as you need to be able to craft higher tier weapons. The quickest way to do this is by buying and then donating weapons to the blacksmith which you can do by buying from the Arms Dealers. Depending on what materials you have collected throughout you should be able to make the weapons needed to reach the Shiranui. The Golden Gun can be obtained by earning 100,000 tags and then cashing them in at the gambling den. The quickest way to do this is through Chicken Races however with an easy trick you will be able to make free tags with no problem. What you need to do is buy as many tags as possible and then go to the Dividends list. You will see all of the available bets you can make and what you need to do is max bet 300 tags on as many as possible. Now you can back out and choose to exit. If you are quick enough while you are being refunded for your tags you can press the Up Directional Button twice to start the race which will begin the race with the bets you made earlier and if you win you make even more tags. Now you can repeat this until you have the required amount of tags. Also by having more tags you will be able to make more bets on the other options. You probably will not be able to do so for every bet as you also need to allow some time to get back to the menus in time however making sure you cover the 5 place bets will get you more tags overall. I would suggest earning more than the required amount that way you will have enough to get everything that you will need and then some and you can use the remaining tags to purchase Platinum Plates which will earn you more money to make up for what you have used elsewhere. When you have earned 100,000 tags you can cash these out for the Golden Gun at the gambling den. In terms of equipment you should be able to craft something decent without grinding for materials and money though. You can easily obtain the Furinkazan breastplate by eating every item at all restaurants which is one of the better armour pieces available to you. Once you have obtained everything that you need you can start the Finale (make sure beforehand that you change the difficulty to Legend). You will be able to get through this fairly easily as you will have help to take some of the damage you may take and with the weapons and equipment available to you there shouldn't be too many things that will give you trouble. The hardest point will probably be dealing with the giant enemy however you can easily just backtrack and shoot from a distance or just let your teammate defeat them as they have infinite health and also because they can't follow you. The good news is that if you die you will be able to restart the last fight you completed as opposed to being sent back to the title screen. When you have completed the game on Legend difficulty you will unlock this trophy/achievement.
