Tutorial and Story Mode as Yosoti (Easy Difficulty) – Petal Crash (Nintendo Switch)
Let’s play Petal Crash, an indie puzzle game brought to you by Galaxy Trail, the publisher of Freedom Planet. This delightful game challenges players to push petals around their board to create color matches. Every match sends nearby petals flying, which can create chains so you can send garbage at your opponent. With its charming story, Game Boy Color-style presentation, and adorable cast of characters, I quickly fell in love with this game, and I hope you do too!
Today, we’ll be playing Story Mode as Yosoti on the easy difficulty (1.0). Can we make our wishes come true after battling the other characters for their Sacred Blossoms?
In the first part of this video, I go through the game's main tutorial, and then I add my own tutorial of the VS mode! (You can find the gist of it in text form below.) Finally, we reach Yosoti's story.

This game’s main versus mode is Tug-of-War. In it, there are two ways to win: Overrun your foe’s board with garbage, or take all three of their lives! The meter at the bottom of the screen shows how many petals you’ve cleared compared to your foe. Once you’re far enough ahead, you’ll take a stock off them, and the meter will reset. This clever mechanic adds nuance to every fight, prevents matches from going on too long, and creates chances for comebacks.
