Wii Fit U has a pedometer called the Fit Meter that it can interact with. It keeps track of how many steps you take and estimates your stride length based on your height. In the game's Fit Meter Challenge, you can compare how far you've walked to various paths around the world.

Well, something's wrong with my Fit Meter or my copy of Wii Fit U, because it's been giving me an insane amount of distance lately. In fact, I walked the entire length of the Equator, according to it.

Personally, I was hoping for some more fanfare...
